And congrats to you, too, Canie! S.G. Wildgold Malu Lani is beautiful! Real eye candy for us cat fanciers. I've never before seen a Bengal breed - what an interesting animal!

We have a dog and, now, two cats - all foundlings (found at the shelter), and unlikely to win any awards. Carolyn works at Cal Poly SLO where, two years ago, a very large cat showed up and began living in the parking lot of Jespersen Hall. This cat eventually got a real following. He'd spend his day sitting on all the various cars, would greet people as they came in, occasionally would ride off like a hood ornament on cars he had chosen to bestow his grace upon, and befriended a feral cat that also lived around the parking lot.

A couple of months ago, someone apparently picked him up and took him to the county animal shelter. One of the Poly cat people found him there, returned him to the parking lot, and put a chip in him and a collar/tag on his neck. Two weeks after that, he disappeared again, and was located at the pound again. This time the pound personnel told the Poly person that a couple identifying Football as theirs, and claiming they were from Paso Robles (25 miles north of Poly) and were allergic to him, turned him in. His collar and tag were missing.

Well - at this point it became apparent that he was not going to be able to remain unmolested, so we adopted him. I think someone didn't like the paw-prints on their fancy car. He's named Football not only because of his size and morphology, but also because the parking lot where he had taken up residence is near the Poly football stadium. Anyway, since he has such a loyal fan base, all interested in knowing how he's doing, I made my first website for them to keep track of him. It's footballthecat.net It's kinda rough around the edges still, but I'm working on it.

See ya.
