omori law = inverse time

omori's law of aftershocks states that the rate falls off as the reciprocal of time.

So after 2 days, the aftershock rate is half of that after one day
and after 10 days, it is a tenth of that after one day.

To get cumulative probability in a day or a week, one would need to evaluate an integral.

In detail, the rate falls off as time raised to some power, and with some corrective interval c, but the power is usually close to one, and c is short.
