The demand would be as an alternate location designator for those who have no clue to lat-lon.

Some don't, you know. They can't figure out the geographic coordinates of a city, have no idea what a kilometer is, etc. but still feel there will be a quake "close to San Bernadino, somewhere north within a week" and they'll be Pi... uh, annoyed if you won't accept it.
