Barry...I imagine Canie would consider you starting with something interesting and then going to pushing a stock...which if done regularly at all brings down the quality of this page...I get stuff like this is SPAM and it is annoying. They had Giuliani on a morning news show today, and asked him about his plan for some kind of catastrophe national insurance plan. This idea was probably pandering to the Florida voters. I don't really know anything more about it, but should there be national insurance of this kind? It sounded like it was to limit liability on insurers so that they could offer hurricane insurance in coastal areas (for example). I suppose it could be used to allow insurers to be able to accept the risk of insuring, say, Los Angeles. The question hinted at by the interviewer was...why should people of a state with limited disasters of this magnitude (say, Illinois) want to subsidise people who want to live on the beach? I suppose national flood insurance is the best analogue. Chris
