One thing I think is patently unfair, or just outright backwards, is that guys like you, who have spent several years being educated, or get PHDs and then have to beg for funding while some kids get hired out of college for sports teams in their junior year, or earlier, or even later, with little to no education, and make millions... But I guess that's capitalism.. people will pay lots of money for a ticket to a game - or buy Nike shoes.. I guess the only real hope for the well educated scientist to make $$ is to work for some corporation.. like the oil companies, or surveying companies or in the research dept of other environmental firms. I find it most frustrating and unfair to the brilliant minds that really make the progress in our lives.
