Yes, the shallow thrust earthquakes in places with the largest tides came when the water was lower, while the tremor amplitude is higher when the water is high. Opposite of what we expected, but very clear. Technical detail - We're hoping that with further study, we can find a way that the high water adds encouraging shear stress to the tremoring faults, and that normal stress turns out not to matter, so that the results can become consistent, but we have no evidence for that yet.
