Thanks, Canie. I hope you had a pleasant Thanksgiving, yourself.

We "cooked" this year instead of going out. I am an early riser, so at 5:00 A.M., I was in the kitchen inventing a yam dish that was truly the hit of the dinner party (if I do say so myself). The day before, I picked up a smoked turkey, so we cooked that and had all the usual trimmings, stuffing, gravy, cranberry-orange sauce, pumpkin pie, etc.
