HW (*) and I went to the Mizzou football game....first one she has ever seen and first live one I have seen on 20 years...we won and were #7 in country before. Everyone wore black. There is a serious tailgating scene here...65,000 at game and half probably tailgated...although 11:30 AM game maybe not the best for this. Missouri is #47 in country for support of university ($ adjusted for population, I guess). Missouri, when adjusted for population and income, comes in #50. Yes, last. I guess this is interesting to see how it is affecting the quality of research and education. I still work at a University of California, not here...at least not yet.
Beautiful day...we've had a lot of these.
