I thought the comment by the geologist about quantifying the problem was funny. Reminds me of that humorous tagline: "Quick! Stop me before I quantify again!"

Also, the reporter's explanation near the end: "The pins act like the teeth of a comb to keep the soil from sliding." I wonder what he uses his comb for!
