That did not take long...I hung out the laundry and checked and the big quake is now a 7.4 in Mariana Islands, and all the M4s in California have gone away. I wonder if automatic location programs were taking seismic waves from the Marianas and mis-locating them as local quakes? Glad I knew enough to be skeptical in my first post.
