M4 offshore San Diego

There was just a 4.0 strike-slip quake just offshore San Diego area. On my previous post I almost mentioned a little cluster of tiny quakes offshore but father north but did not because when you clicked to the more local map, they did not look like much. So....what's next? And, who thinks this is random? If not random, what is causing it?
