Cathryn, use the official stuff Canie linked...but there was damage on Maui I think from that M6+ (?) NW of the NW coast of Hawaii. As I recall, those were deep events and were thrust or strike-slip or both (I'm not checking). I doubt they are very well understood, so not well understood if they could occur farther north or west (my guess). Maui had lava flows to the sea from Haleakala (sp?) about 200 years ago so is not dead that way either.
