Ah, but it ran for 2 months without a trigger, and no listed event. The mounting location is not subject to flex vibration due to design, and there is no evidence of it when we did testing during State Acceptance. The building is monolithic, reinforced concrete, more than 40 years old, and the sensor is mounted on a load-bearing vertical member which does not support the unit.
I know what you are saying. I've had nothing but boatloads of fun with pre-stressed and bouncy flexible concrete, but this is a different animal.
There are 3 states that the sensor reacts to.
1. Software filtered p-wave earthquake pre-detection,
2. User-set or ASCE spec. accelerometer trigger.
3. Trouble with system.

These are user set to operate the Alarm Latch Relay, the Trouble Latch Relay, and the Non-Latching Relay output based on how the software is set up.
