Wow...

MSI boards are usually pretty solid like Asus, AOpen, Gigabyte and other branded boards.

Change the cable...just in case. But be ready for drive failure or board failure - may be faced with replace/warranty of one or the other.

One more tip...

If these are IDE drives, take a look very closely at the pins on the board connector and the drive connector...

I have been guilty in the past of bending pins 1,20, 21 and 40 and having to bend them back into alignment again.

Also, if using IDE drives, are you using Cable Select?
