There was nothing in my note that was intended to offend you. This is simply meant to be a scientific discussion.

However, your response does indicate that you got upset by something.

My point is that it is almost impossible to have these types of discussions without someone getting upset regardless of how harmless the information is intended to be. I have learned that from many past discussions. At present the only way to avoid situations where people get upset is to simply not have the discussions in the first place.

The basic problem is that it is too difficult to include enough information in these types of exchanges to make it clear what is being said. Any statement can be interpreted in a number of ways. And quite often people will interpret something in a manner that the author did not intend.
