Re: accepted |
John...congrats. Just online submitted an extended abstract on Antarctic paleoclimate. It will be accepted because it will not be reviewed. I am a dumv=b s$#t because the quality was high enough for it to either have been a reviewed short paper for the same international meeting, or for it to have been submitted to a journal. But, people I work with are running the meeting. I'm continuously shooting myself in the foot with my career. This Antarctic work is keeping me from getting the Palos Verdes-Los Angeles work submitted. I have a draft and the figures for a short paper that should be acceptable by Geology (although reviews are a crapshoot). But, I feel like I have to submit a paper from a student thesis on the same area first, even though he has been working for an oil company for a couple years and could care less about publication..
