Well as I saw it.. this idea of Butterfly wings has been in theory tied to Chaos. Chaos is most certainly still a young theory and from what I can tell, there are not too many theoretical physicists working in this area...or perhaps there are a few... fill me in.
You say with some confidence that butterfly wings don't cause hurricanes elsewhere, but is there not a scientific school of thought that they do indeed have a connection? If so, would that be a simple disagreement of perspective?
