Dad worked for Ordinance Dept during WWII. At the time they did not qualify for Social Security. As years wore on SS was accepted and dad still worked for them (*I realize this is over the 30 years I spoke of but this was broken up by a short stint in private practice). By that time dad was working on ARPANET and hence when he retired in the mid 1970's he qualified for a Civil Service Pension as well as Social Security. He was humbled by it, but his many years of work for the government gave him reason to be proud. Dad was near the top of the grade before retirement, in 13 level. His work carried him many times to the Pentagon-- and there were NO STORYS for him to tell.... He was a dedicated citizen who believed 100% in what he was doing.

I think I bring dad into the picture because while he was still living, he thought and told me that my EQ prediction business was "whacko" and was always worried that his phone was monitored. His concern was righteous. At 89 moms phone and mine are still monitored....ahh well such is life in the .gov eh?
