Hi Michael,

I think you have misunderstood what Dennis was doing in the most recent case and its as simple as that.

This is my perspective and it comes with a few years of observation about Dennis's work. He told us that his equipment readings were xyz, he said from his experience "this might mean" so and so might happen. He came back later and assessed what actually occurred.

There was no prediction made. So I personally am at a loss to understand why all of this has happened. If I posted that I had an ear tone in my left ear that sounded like Eureka, but didn't make a prediction set on it and later came back and said, no, it wasn't Eureka, it was Ukiah, then its just a statement of fact. No prediction.

I think you're asking to much from Dennis. Think of it this way. A fire starts in the LA basin hills and the last time that happened 150 homes were lost and the weather conditions were the same and Dennis told you that. When the fire gets put out, 300 homes were lost and he tells you so. How is that any different from reporting what his instruments record and telling you later what actually happened?

All he's trying to do is interpret what the readings mean. I'm doing exactly the same thing with my ear tones, only I'm not posting them. I just tell Don, he notes them and see's how the matching is going. I'm still learning and have to say I've got a ways to go yet.

In Don's case, he has a perfect record for the Bay Area, he hasn't got a hit yet. He's learning. We all are and that's why we're here so we can learn from each other and share what we know. Having fewer board members only hinders that education. We need Dennis to be here.

One thing I wanted you to take a look at is Frank Condon's reports. Very often what Frank picks up Dennis does to an his equipment. One sort of validates the other regarding some locations.

In the world of earthquake prediction you will never ever be able to rely on one person, one piece of equipment; you need validation from many sources before it goes public. That's why I'd love to see more people participate here. With more of them in closer proximity to each other, the results I feel would be much better.

In our daily lives we all have some kind of things going on that aren't so terrific, when we come here, we get away from that and focus on something we think is a positive effort. When that goes sour, then we have to find another outlet, because the one we love the most isn't there anymore. When I have been given a difficult time over the years it just makes me not want to participate, so I leave, take a breather, go garden or something and when I feel I can go forward, then I come back. For me, there's only one person who gives me a hard time, so when he's here, I'm not and he knows who he is. Its him or me, or it doesn't work. Mind you, he only picks on women and he never at any time has ever posted one single thing about earthquakes or reports or anything. He doesn't contribute, he just attacks.

I hope in time, when Dennis feels better, he'll come back. I miss him greatly.

Petra
