No point in allowing input we can't handle.

Of course, we could search a rectangle, extract the designated area, etc. but that's a lot of work.

Martin was always complaining about restrictions on area and shape, citing long narrow regions at odd angles.

Others want only place names but that's totally unreasonable. It requires us to look up the name and decide what area to include. I did it for the USGS program and it's a PAIN.
