BOISE, Idaho An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3 hit southeastern Idaho on Saturday. Tremors were felt from Pocatello to Yellowstone, and as far away as Salt Lake City.

No damages or injuries were immediately reported in the quake, which occurred at 11:18 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

"This is a remote area, so I wouldn't expect a lot of damage," said Sue Nava, seismic network manager at the University of Utah seismograph station.

The earthquake was centered 25 miles west-northwest of Aston, just west of Grand Teton National Park.

The temblor was the biggest to hit Idaho since a 5.8-magnitude quake in 1994.
