I just wanted to clarify a few things due some of the posts below on sensitives, mental telepathy and ESP. Since I happen to enjoy having all of these attributes, maybe a little info from one who has gone there might be beneficial in understanding for those who haven't. (grin)

Let me address each category as follows:

Mental Telepathy: This is most often an occurrence that happens between family members or close friends. When children are injured, so often a mother knows something's wrong. Or how about a wife who says to her husband, "I'm going to the market to get the ingredients to make meat loaf." The husband replies, "I can't believe it, I was just thinking of how much I've missed your meat loaf."

Extra Sensory Perception: People who lived through the war are those who can explain this category so well. Here's a classic example. A son goes off to war, he gets into a skirmish, gets shot and dies. His mother who is 3000 miles away awakens in the middle of the night and knows something happened to him. A week later an officer arrives at her home and announces the son's death. This happened thousands of times.

Here's one of mine. Years ago my husband was a weekend warrior. He was going to go to his two week summer trip and for two weeks before that I had a terrible sense of dread. I felt when he left something was going to happen and my life was in danger. I begged him to buy me a gun and teach me how to use it, but he was afraid and refused. Three nights after he left I went to bed around ten and kept thinking I was hearing footsteps on the gravel driveway next to my bedroom. So I called some friends. They thought I was just a little nervous and the husband came and picked me up. At midnight he brought me home. I went to my bedroom and locked the door behind me. I still had that sense of dread, so I just threw on my bathrobe and got into bed. Not two minutes later I heard the sound of someone throwing their entire body weight against my french dining room doors. The police arrived in a little while. He didn't make it into the house, but left a chalk mark on the glass door, simply the letter "K." The letter "K" according to the police mean that you're marked to be killed. My electric box was open and also my phone box had been tampered with. I did get a gun later and learned how to use it.

Earthquake Sensitives:

Earthquake sensitivity has nothing to do with the above. It is simply an ability to tune into the frequency of earthquake sounds, feelings that one is going to occur and in some cases physical manifestations prior to an earthquake, ie: Kathy Gori gets headaches. Today I was remembering a man who used to post on Syz and he was never wrong. He used to get this awful sense of dread before earthquakes where there would be victims. He could not tell you where or how bad it was going to be, but within a week, the bad news arrived. He's a regular guy, has a corporate position and has no attributes of ESP, mental telepathy or psychic skills.

Just a note about psychic people: They most often do have esp, mental telepathy, are not usually earthquake sensitives, but tune into a lot of things. Everyday life presents many opportunities in every area imaginable. The range is to broad to address every facet, but very often they can tune into murder, they can know your past, present and future, but most often they don't interfere with one's life unless asked.

We are not all given to ponder such area's in life, just as not everyone is a seismologist, an astronaut or a ditch digger. To each his own, but those who do possess these abilities usually have them because they need them. For me, if I didn't have them, I know I wouldn't be here.

On the earthquake front, I am working hard on trying to learn as much as possible about the subduction events that occurred in 1946 in Olympia and the Queen Charlotte Islands. At the same time I see southern Oregon off shore is an area of concern as well as the Mendocino Triple Junction. As they say, what happened before can have a repeat performance. We saw that earlier this year in India. In 1946 there were only four months between the Olympia quake at 5.7 and the Queen Charlotte, but the Queen Charlotte was far larger at 7.3. I feel very strongly this bears watching closely. The quake in Alberta, Canada may well mark the northern boundary of the next subduction block.
