Hi All. It seems that there has been some earthquakes along the Rodgers Creek Fault in the very recent pass.

There were 4 quakes in Dec. of 1981. The quake on the 18 of Dec. was an intensity V in Petaluma and Glen Ellen. It caused some minor damage in Petaluma and was just felt in Santa Rosa.

The closest location I can find for these quakes is just a little south of Sonoma Mountain and NE of Petaluma. If my location is correct this puts the quakes on the Rodgers Creek Fault east of Petra’s study area.

I printed out a map of the area with driving directions on how to get there. Driving distance is 17.9 miles, but as the crow flies it’s about 4 miles from Petra’s front door. As a rule Petra doesn’t like to ride with me on winding roads. I think though that if I blindfold her and turn the stereo up as high as it will go so she can’t hear the tires squeal on the turns she might make an exception. I don’t know how I’m going to be able to disguise flying over ditches though. I will have to work on that a little bit.

It’s not likely there were any surface breaks and even if there were it’s highly unlikely they could be seen today. Take Care…The maniac driver Don in creepy town.
