Exactly the point I've tried to make many times.

If a trigger is pulled on an empty gun, nothing happens.

If a bullet is heated it will explode without a trigger.

All a trigger can do is affect the timing, and in the case of quakes, the triggering forces are so small the difference would only be minutes.
