Obviously there isn't a simple answer to your question. "Until you have sufficient that things start to become clear" might be an answer.

Incidentally, your comment and Don's both suggest that I was casting a wide aspersion when I used the word "charlatan". I have in mind only a few individuals whose status I don't think anyone here would question.
