Re: Can Earthquakes Be Predicted

Hi Roger. I’m familiar with some of those charlatans here in the US and in China, Russia and Japan.

Japan for the most part is years ahead of the US in earthquake prediction, or at the very least in gathering the data needed to make an accurate forecast.

The Kobe quake gave them tons of needed data. From what I have been able to learn they are going through each piece of data. It is a painstaking slow process, but as you say you have to learn to walk before you can run.

What they found has been very impressive. I have 4 documentary tapes about the Kobe quake. One of the tapes covers the time before the quake. You can see the precursors there, but at the time they were not recognized as being precursors. Months ahead of the quake activity started taking place and began to accelerate days before the quake. The problem was that nobody was watching. The Sake making industries made one of the very first discoveries for one of the precursors. There was an increase in Radon 222 at one of their wells used for making Sake. Just days before the quake the level of Radon 222 dropped back to almost its normal level.

The data is there. You just have to learn what it is. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
