Seems to me that USGS or some other research insitute could put together a computer modeling program such as those used in weather. I spend much time reading weather reports and how various models are worked against each other. Every time a certain model is right, the computer learns a bit more of the puzzle. Over a long period of years models will become much better...Why is it not possible to do the same thing with earthquakes?
