Forgot to mention that I found an interesting link that some of you may want to bookmark. It looks like it is still experimental, but it is a site showing worldwide lightning for the last two and a half hours.

In the last twenty-four hours, I've noticed a lot of lightning about 2-300 miles off the coast of Taiwan. We've had rain here in Taichung for the last twenty-hour hours but no lightning.
