Can you do a run of global 7's against perihelion/ahelion to check if inclinational tidals have an effect on larger seismicity? I think you would have to take that result and then look at southern versus northern hemisphere.
So to put the question thus; are there more 7 magnitude earthquakes in the northern hemisphere during the perihelion half of the solar year? Not sure if something like this has been looked at. Question is not related to prediction. More intended for interest in planetary physics. Just as an aside, you know that results on this forum get paraded around. I will defend your findings if you so wish to run this. If it has been done, maybe somebody will comment and save us some time.
