Steve makes a good point. No matter how prepared each individual is, there are critical portions of the overall community infrastructure which are not. Even though I have 60 days worth of food, and can get water, that does not help a compound fracture of the tibia. Or a crushed foot. Seems like California is behind when it comes to addressing the medical needs after a "biggie".
