Hi Petra. JOB gave me part of the information I was looking for. The 1949 Olympia quake was a subduction quake. Just four months later an 8.1M hit about 500 miles away, north of Vancouver Island, and was called the Queen Charlotte quake but the Queen Charlotte quake was a strike-slip, like the San Andreas movement. It's also interesting to note that both quakes occured in JOBs seismic window theory. It's going to be interesting to see what happens later on this year. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
