Wow! How did they prove global warming was the cause? It bit them in the ass? ...sorry...the causes can be just about anything. Remember back in the mid-80's reading about the Bengal area and others like it - I believe in National Geographic. Even described how some communities in these regions of the world have to literally move every year or so... The causes listed back then were numerous - runoff from the himilayas, monsoons, tides, unstable soils/land masses...etc... It really bugs me when journalist accept theory (global warming happening today) as fact and then run with it to write an article that amounts to FUD! Is it really so hard to just give people the facts and let them decide themselves what is going on - or is the world now populated by so many who think that everyone else needs to be told what to think? (Hope not...) =8-) I don't think this is off topic - I'm wouldn't be surprised if someone here like John Vidale can link earthquake activity history to these events some way or another...
