I meant what I said -- on all counts. Chuckle all you want, but there was no misinterpretation -- I know the meaning of sophist -- I was obviously being facetious.

And, yes, I'm proud to say I voted for George Bush -- along with over 62 million other Americans, or 31 states out of 50 states. At least Nevada, where I live, didn't go along with California and the rest of the Left Coast. I don't always agree with Bush, particularly on fiscal matters, but, IMHO, he was still a better choice than the alternative, John Kerry.

Historians will decide who was the worst president in U.S. history, not Cathryn. And I doubt very much that it will be George Bush. I can think of some others -- some more recent -- that deserve that dubious distinction.

And, BTW, Happy New Year to one and all. Only one more year and you get to have your say again in November 2008.

And, yes, now back to earthquakes...where maybe you can deal in facts and figures, instead of opinions and generalities...and falsehoods and name-calling.
