Hi again Roger,

Work on a TrueBasic version of the program ground to a halt because the original Perl language program became so complex. The present program contains about 3500 lines of code. And that number will increase as soon as I can learn how to do graphics with the Perl programming language. It appears that the first thing that I need a program which can decompress tar.gz files.

The EM signal generation process appears to be extremely complex. Multiple fault zones and solar and geomagnetic storms could be involved along with the positions of the sun and the moon in the sky, and the locations of ocean and Solid Earth Tide crests and troughs. Tracking those signals down would probably involve a major research project.

An organization that I created will hopefully generate some funding for this type of effort. And a plan has been developed for that. But I still need time to put the plan into action.

This effort is not limited to just earthquake forecasting. On two occasions this year I met and/or talked with U.S. government tornado forecasting personnel to discuss EM signals which I believe are being generated in the hours and days before some destructive tornados. Unfortunately no progress was made in developing a plan for predicting them. That is unfortunate. My data indicate to me that the recent destructive tornado activity in Florida could have been predicted at least a day or two beforehand.

In my opinion, our world’s most important material problem is probably our global lack of safe, affordable energy. And if you noticed, when a number of Democrats got elected last November one of the first things they said was that they were going to get some work done on the development of alternative forms of energy etc. It is unusual for elected officials to discuss energy issues like that. They appear to me to prefer to talk about safer and less controversial topics such as education. I think that it is likely that some of them discussed our global energy problem like that because of my own efforts to convince them of its importance.

Lots of things going on behind-the-scenes now including some global publicity for these types of forecasting efforts.
