But - speaking of cars - I just bought a new one myself. It doesn't get quite the gas mileage my last one did, but still kinda good at 20/26 or so. I got a Volvo XC70 - I've been on the road a lot driving the cats to shows and it's a nice safe car - lots of room for cats and luggage - even has All Wheel Drive to get over the passes at Tahoe and others during winter. It's got an automatic transmission - I've been driving stick shifts for about 30 years... oh well.. that's better for this LA traffic anyway.
