Well, Barbara, it seems we agree on one thing...that it is not a great idea to spend massively more than you earn. A lot of the other stuff, we disagree, although I don't know enough about the prescription drug plan to comment, and maybe the marriage penalty needs to stay not penalized. There were quite a lot of billionaires and multi-millionaires who opposed the tax cuts and end of estate tax. And, I oppose them even though my mother's estate paid a large sum in estate taxes 5 years ago. It depends on your perspective sometimes...whether you are more concerned for what is good for the country and the world or what is good for you personally (I'm not implying what the case might be for you or for me). Bill and Melinda Gates, and Warren Buffet have made it clear that they don't have to worry about themselves. This discussion could lead into science ethics...like whether you tend to agree with the group that is funding you (AAPG vs AGU on global warming, for example)...but I'll bring that up later...Chris
