Michael...there are dozens of sessions on all kinds of topics each day, and this goes on for 5 days. There are about 10,000 people or a bit less who attend, and some large percentage of these present something...more are posters than oral talks. The Seismology subgroup ("S") is ust one of a dozen or 2....I'm also interested in "T" (Tectonophysics), sometime "G" (geodesy), and OS (Ocean sciences). There is a special session with enough interest that it is spread over 2 days and 4 sessions...in "T", about what happens in between bends in strike-slip faults. Chris
