I cross-country ski at about walking speed unless there is a hill. Actually, Friday breaking a path through heavy snow and taking pictures, I was much slower than walking speed. I have skis that need wax and I can't find the wax (in boxes still), so I slip too much to move faster. It's a walk in the woods (and fields) that I like. This could be the only time in the decade or so we may live here that there is liable to be this much snow, so I should get in the car and go to a larger park and check it out. Chris
