MIR TSUNAMI???

Since Mir's re-entry next week is going to be the biggest entry of an object since the Tunguska
explosion in Russia early last century, Could it not be possible that there could be a tsunami generated by the impact! 40 000 tonnes is nothing to sneeze at and it will be pretty close to Tahiti and other low lying south sea attols. A spotter plane will shodow the station as it re-enters from 400 miles distance. I guess we'll know how dangerous the possibility of a Tsunami is by the presence(or obvious lack of) Soviet Navy vessels in the region. They won't be absent without very valid excuse I'd assume. For $5000 you can book a seat on the spotter plane which will broadcast the footage they get 4 hours after the impact with the sea of poor old Mir. Mirage.
Hope we can bring her down without incident, but I have to wonder about Tsunami, and that an object that large has probably never struck without making a local tsunami, But an interstellar object travels with much more velocity when it hits earth. We shall see, and would advise watching from high ground persons are to be in that region.
