My sister is visiting and she is friends with a well-known writer and he lives in or near our town, and we will have dinner with him tonight at the local brew pub. Maybe I will impress him with my sophistication and do the "napkin trick" (Steve Martin when he did stand up). My daughter, as a high school student took the summer program at Harvard last year and took advanced fiction writing or something like that and she wrote really a good short story (and I don't like the fantasy stuff she used to do)...everyone else in the class liked it and she needs to find some literary magazine to publish it.
