Why are you wasting your time then, if you dont forecast any more activity there to prepare for, then why are going down memory lane to the 30's. Do you think those that attend are concerned about the future or are they so bored as to want to hear about that quake in the 30's?
Your statement I dont think there's a person in the states that doesn't know the dangers that mother nature can provide- What about the kids? Are they born with that knowledge? New residents? Travellers? Those that never use media? Those that were seismophobes and now want to learn? You sure can generalize when it suits you...A lot of those I teach had no idea of the hazards or of how serious they could be. My posts help them understand this, and your posts serve to undo a lot of hard work when they are so contradictory.
