Is all this that you are looking at responsible for the terraces of Palos Verdes? (I guess that's the anticline) - or related?

I recall a conversation with Don Clark - Long Beach City Geologist - while on a tour around San Pedro and Palos Verdes - we were at a dock that had a marker - I think he said something like there's no evidence of the ocean levels rising there, but it's thought to be going up 3mm/yr - but it could be because the land was also rising at 3mm/yr... You may want to look into some GPS readins if there are any in the area..

I have to agree about the Compton thrust - but maybe that's just because it's in my backyard so to speak..
