Nonsense. I'm not trying to establish rigorous proof here, and the statement is perfectly logical since scientists have tried since the fifties to establish a link between animals and earthquakes.

If you mean the Chinese saw snakes crawling out of their holes before the earthquake, then there is at least some evidence that the exodus was not due to earthquake sensitivity, it was the result of an early spring.

If you reread my message and providing my memory of what I wrote withstands my advancing senility, I think you may find that your interpretation of my remark is incorrect. This is a hypothesis--I am not offering it as proof of the scientific validity of the facts in the matter.
