Hi All. Looks like there may be a quake building in the Parkfield area. There has been an increase in dilational strain (Dona Lee) and a slight increase in tensor strain (Froelich).

The weird creep is most likely rain related as the creep meters are located very near the surface, but the strain meters are to deep for the rain to have reached them in this short period of time. Not even sure if the rain, or water from the rain can even reach them.

This is only the second time I have seen any strain build up in the Parkfield area. The last time it happened there was a 3.1Ml quake near Middle Mountain. Another 18 to 24 hours should tell if the strain indication is any good. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
