I have a minor flooding problem over here when it rains. Last week about 100 Gallons (no kidding!) was sucked out of the carpet in the room that houses all the computers. We are expecting them to come in and replace the carpet soon and fix the foundation (Its wicking up from the foundation, not from the roof). I have always kept the computers and everything up off the floor on little feet but it is a pain when it rains. Since we knew more rain was on the way and in an effort to organize things so that as little disruption as possible occurs when they finally get around to fixing the floor and carpet I went out last friday and bought a baker's rack at Costco to put all the servers on. They share a keyboard, mouse and monitor. Also my other half has been after me to put in a rack for all the computers.

So I have finally given in and today I had everything powered down for about an hour while I put everything on the rack and figured out what wires were really being used, etc. So - hopefully when they want to replace the carpet, I can just roll all the servers into the next room, throw the lan cables over the wall and we'll remain up and running. At least they are up off the floor even more and the guys can get to more of the carpet to try and dry this place out.

Sorry for being down....
