Certainly in the subduction zone. I calculated it to be 63 miles (101 Km) from the 6.8, and it's 3 Km deeper. I'm not sure how stress is translated after large quakes in a subduction zone, as I'm only familiar with the typical SoCal garden variety thrust or slip quakes. Anybody (Don) know anything about stress in subduction zones? Michael
