Hi Don. While it is true that ear tones can be caused by many different things this does not mean that they can’t be caused by an impending earthquake. Just because something has never been proven in the past does not mean that it is fact that earthquakes do not cause ear tones. It just means that it hasn’t been proven to date. If we base our ideas, or methodology on what has, or hasn’t been proven in the past then there can be no advancement towards the future.

We may never be able to prove that ear tones can be used for predicting earthquakes, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t try to see if they do.

I have forecasted 7 quakes in the SJB/Hollister area using the data from the USGS crustal deformation sites. I have felt many more in which there was no indication of an impending earthquake. Does this mean the crustal deformation data doesn’t work? Take Care…Don in creepy town.
