Re: an example of why

Ferndale, Moluccus, Vancouver Island, Tokop, East Honshu, all active and all failed predictions on the new board, not because of board, but because the posts prediction parameters expired or events slightly out of range(Van Isle prediction right time and mag, location 25km off in entire Pacific ocean.) If I had Double parameters all my posts would have hit, but the hits wouldn't do as much to tighten my predictions to the point where they could evacuate the right city or ??? My point is if I just wanted to get HITS I could make many posts that would be guaranteed to succeed. Id have to loosen up some postings and the stage I'm at with my research I want only to get even closer lat's and longs, shorter windows and tighter mag ranges. For this type of forecasting, how close the miss was is all of the importance. Double my parameters on posts made on the prediction board and see how many hits I got. If you want successful predictions I'll do an experiment and post three or four for sures. If you want accuracy, then I'll continue to make tight posts that won't always be hits but they'll be close. And advance my research. Post them at double the parameters and they'll almost All BE HITS! MANY others post looser even at double, and I'd NEVER POST "Ring of Fire" for a 7+! A Big step Backwards. I would post Moluccus up to 7.1 and miss by a week. If you lived in Moluccus which post would mean more to you?
Thanks for your continued energy and support!
