As to archiving...I try to keep a few of the last threads if something interesting is going on... I just didn't do that yesterday. Lazy i guess. I try to do it when the file is approaching 100k - I like to keep it quick for those with modem access (Its always fast for me!).

The archive is not automatic - I have to copy the main board to an archive file, then edit it and remove the form and change the logo, then I do have a script that I set to go thru all the messages and remove the posting form off each one. Then I have to edit the main board to remove all the messages. I used to keep a 'clean' copy but with the changes its tough to keep a good clean one up to date. Then i have to edit the archive main index page...

It comes down to a matter of time involved I guess. The archives are still there for you to look at and reference.
