Dear Don -

I do appreciate having Earth Science professionals engage in the conversations presented on this board as well as any earth sensitives. It IS primarily a forum for furthering the science of geological hazards and the prediction of such hazards.

The name of the board has always been Earthwaves Prediction Forum. I do encourage predictions - we don't have many because most of the persons who attend this board don't throw predictions out there like so many pebbles hoping one hits. We have contributors who do post their predictions when they feel it is warranted. I don't want this to be like Jim's board either - I feel there are Soooo many predictions over there that it has become a bit of a joke.

I believe the scientific discussions that are promoted on this board help in the understanding of how our planet works and thru such understanding we may one day predict earthquakes even better than the weather. It has to start somewhere with someone. I hope that here, where we can pool methods and ideas, we may one day be able to acheive our goal.
